Architectural Photography, Outdoor Living Photography & Aerial Photography

First Choice Media photographed this completed covered patio addition for Terrace Outdoors in Rowlett, Texas. The project expanded an existing patio cover to provide significantly more protected outdoor living space while visually tying the addition into both the original patio and the home's existing architecture. The finished patio now stretches across a substantial portion of the rear of the brick home. Multiple connected roof sections create distinct covered zones for dining and lounging while maintaining an open flow between the spaces and the surrounding pool deck. One of the most prominent visual elements is the warm wood-plank ceiling used throughout the covered areas. The ceiling treatment extends across the different sections and is complemented by recessed lighting, circular integrated speakers, and dark ceiling fans. Light-colored beams, fascia, and columns contrast with the wood overhead and coordinate with the existing home's trim. The supporting columns incorporate light stone bases that provide another transition between the new overhead structure and the paver patio below. The same paver surface continues beyond the covered area and around the existing freeform swimming pool and raised circular spa, helping the expanded patio function as part of the larger backyard environment. The completed covered space accommodates multiple uses. A dining table and chairs occupy one portion of the patio, while separate cushioned seating areas create additional places for relaxing and entertaining. Existing features along the home—including the brick exterior, sliding glass doors, windows, wall-mounted televisions, and grill—remain integrated within the expanded outdoor living environment. First Choice Media documented the project with ground-level architectural photography and aerial imagery. The closer photographs highlight the wood ceilings, structural transitions, columns, lighting, fans, speakers, and furnished living areas, while the drone photographs provide a clearer understanding of the scale of the patio addition and its relationship to the home, pool, spa, deck, landscaping, and surrounding backyard.
