Dallas Arboretum Engagement Photography | Skylar & Drew
First Choice Media photographed Skylar and Drew’s engagement at the Dallas Arboretum in Dallas, Texas. The session combined posed portraits, candid reactions, proposal moments, and relaxed couple photography throughout the landscaped gardens. Warm afternoon light, mature trees, architectural elements, and the Arboretum’s greenery provided a variety of backgrounds while keeping the focus on the couple and the emotion of the moment.

Professional Photography
Skylar and Drew’s engagement session at the Dallas Arboretum gave First Choice Media the opportunity to document a personal milestone through a mix of portraiture and candid storytelling. The session included traditional couple portraits as well as more spontaneous moments surrounding the proposal. Instead of relying on one setup, the photography moved through different areas of the gardens to create visual variety while maintaining a consistent, natural look. Golden-hour light played an important role throughout the session. In several images, backlighting and warm directional light helped separate the couple from the surrounding greenery while adding depth to the photographs. The finished gallery also demonstrates a different side of First Choice Media’s photography work. While much of our portfolio focuses on businesses, construction, pools, and outdoor living, the same attention to composition, lighting, timing, and visual storytelling also applies to portraits and personal events.

Skylar & Drew’s Dallas Arboretum Engagement Gallery
The gallery combines posed portraits, candid interaction, proposal photographs, ring-reveal moments, and wider environmental images from the Dallas Arboretum. Together, these perspectives tell more of the story than a small set of traditional portraits alone. Close compositions emphasize expressions and emotion, while wider photographs incorporate the gardens and architecture to give the session a clear sense of place.
