Project Overview:

First Choice Media photographed and filmed this completed pool and outdoor living project for RiverMist Pools & Spas in Eustace, Texas. Set directly alongside a private lake, the project offers a strong example of how professional media can communicate not only individual pool features but also the way an entire outdoor environment interacts with its surroundings. The freeform swimming pool follows an organic layout with curved edges and natural-toned coping. One end expands into a substantial shallow tanning ledge furnished with multiple in-pool chaise loungers, umbrellas, and small side tables. Three bubblers rise through the shallow water and are illuminated with purple lighting in the evening photographs, creating a strong visual focal point after sunset. A raised circular spa occupies another portion of the pool environment, while a substantial natural rock waterfall anchors the opposite side. The waterfall is constructed from layered irregular stone and creates several separate cascades before the water enters the pool below. Underwater lighting adds additional color and dimension to the feature in the later-day images. Another major element is the sunken outdoor kitchen and bar area adjacent to the pool. Curved steps descend between stone walls into a covered entertaining space featuring substantial wood posts, a wood ceiling, a built-in grill, countertop surfaces, bar seating, a mounted television, ceiling fan, and additional cabinetry and equipment. The lowered elevation allows the entertaining area to maintain a close visual relationship with the water. Landscaped beds bordered by natural stone and filled with dark decorative rock create separation around portions of the pool and outdoor kitchen. The private lake directly beyond the backyard provides a distinctive background for both the ground-level photography and aerial imagery. First Choice Media documented the project using wide pool photography, detailed feature images, evening imagery, aerial photography, and videography.
